Apocrypha, are you still mad at us for "jacking" your thread? I think it's turned out rather nice!

Re: I would like to recommend an evangelist
This is for Mizpeh who thought I was joking about Todd Bentley, renowned evangelist, kicking someone in the stomach. This guy had stage 4 colon cancer and Bentley kicked him in the stomach.

I didn’t know this thread mentioned someone with the same misnomer as mine. Interesting. 🧐🤔

Re: I would like to recommend an evangelist
Your quote caught my attention. I wanted to highlite it , to call attention to it.
Name-calling is the last resort of an exhausted mind.
When people have the facts, they argue the facts.
When they don't have the facts, they call names.

Then you should never do it yourself. Don, you must be a trip in person.

Re: I would like to recommend an evangelist
Can your saying negative things about an Evangelist, Benincasa, EB as you call him, be justified in the light of the following?
-Colossians 4:6 Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt
-1 Timothy 5:17 Let the elders...counted worthy...double honour, especially they who labour in the word and doctrine
-1 Thessalonians 5:12,13 which labour...and admonish you; to esteem them very highly in love for their work's sake.
-Hebrews 12:14 Follow peace with all men
I'm not saying is that your opinions are wrong or right. What I am asking for is, what are the justifications of something distastfully negative and seemingly contrary to the above? Do you see your methods as righteous? Could there not be less unseemly ways to express the same opinions which are less likely to lead to volatile reactions? Have argument-methodologies used by the sinner political arena been carried over unconsciously into a Christian forum?
I'll wait to hear the words used to justify what appears to be just plain old carnal nastiness. Some would even say the method shows hatred.
