Perhaps someone has some insight on that verse.

We see in Eph 5:21, "Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God." It then goes on to give admonition to both the husband and the wife.

It seems to be saying, at the outset, that we submit to each other, which can only be out of love and respect or you wouldn't do it.

I see a wonderful balance here. If the Lord is telling the man to love his wife as Christ loved the church, then he is also telling a women to respect a man by not being dominate over his authority.

We don't Lord over each other.

Brother Scott,
I think that the scriptures in Ephesians - speaking to a man and wife - can also be instructive for leadership. If you are respectful to each role in marriage, I believe it will reflect on all relationships in the church.

I don't know a lot myself. I've known a few women pastors and one that my husband respected highly was a woman from Austin named, Sister Sharp.

He said she was such a grand lady and just made you melt when she talked to you. You just wanted to live right after talking with her.

Here's the thing I may not understand everything about this subject ,but if God has used anybody and done anything through anybody and He got glory from it ,I won't speak evil of it.
