You can stir that pot all you want, (IMO) I'd like some good answers on why preaching from the Bible, on Biblical principals, isn't considered "good preaching".
We are trying to get them to give us that answer, but they just won't respond.
I think some of these guys would rather be beat up from the pulpit than built up. I just don't understand that thinking, but that is all that happens at their conferences.

I have heard The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly in sermons.
I would not classify 2 hrs of offering screaming followed by 1 hr of preaching screaming always edification.

Agreed, IMO, screaming and preaching don't mix. I don't mind a preacher getting fired up while he is preaching, but I don't really think God needs anybody to scream for Him. Again, IMO.
the following note was droped into my inbox. it is quite interesting..
There indeed was an ECC last week (Thur-Friday). Larry Booker preached Thur. nite, Crawford Coon on Friday afternoon, and Floyd Odom on Friday nite. House was packed with over 300 youth in another facility. There was a crowd of new faces, all very much right of center. It seemed they were emboldened by the size of the crowd. The "Tulsa" announcements were being passed out everywhere.
