I feel exactly the same way.

That will also go for any UPC'ers attempting to turn me against anyone who leaves over the tv issue.

Obviously he doens't. Nobody does.

In fact, contrary to his supposition, most of the conservatives that I know voted against it. They often preach men who are not in the organization and want no organizational involvement in their local church decisions.

Among those that I know the VAST majority were against it.

Well perhaps some at the business meeting can chime in ... didn't they have a standing vote on this one???

I was at the business meeting. I can't quite remember but I don't think it was a standing vote.

The best I can remember, I don't think it was really close at all.

As for the way that 'conservatives' voted, keep in mind that conservatives are much like libs in certain areas:
1. Among 'liberals' there are the 'relaxed on standards' kind and the 'no restrictions' kind.
2. Among the 'conservatives' there are the 'I'm firm on standards' crowd and then there are those other conservatives the first group looks at, shakes their head and says, "You've got to be kidding me!"

If I remember correctly .... As reported by PP on that Friday ... they had to stand ... it was somewhat chaotic with this one ....

Daniel, I'm actually enjoying the dialogue today!

Am I to surmise from a few things that I've picked up on some of your posts that you are trying to Pastor a Church now? You don't have to answer if you think it's an inappropriate question. Was just going to wish you the best!

Indeed there was a standing vote for resolution 3 reported on that Friday ... in which the mole reported peer pressure was evident ....
