Ousted by Trinitarian

I have been discussing the oneness doctrine on a local trinitarian Bulletin Board and the Pastor just PMed me and asked that we move on because we were moving into waters that could be more than he wanted there.

I'm not a debater. In fact Noetus, ....er I mean Praxeas seems to think I don't have communication skills at all. But I was surprised although I probably shouldn't be.

Oh well........God is good.

Alot of folks sad to say don't want to look into anything beyond their religious tradtions.
Alot of times debating with religious folks is fruitless because they have their mind made up.
Very often talking to sinners with no church background is more fruitful than discussing the bible with denominational people.

Truer words were ne'er spoken, Bro. Scott.

I think we're all guilty of this from time to time.

Scott...there is none worse than OP's

You bring up a question on something they seem to think is a "Sacred Cow"

and you'll soon find out they will not discuss outside their ideaolgy. Next things their start calling you names....apostate...charsimatic...weak on the message.

When ever I hear this I think, "Is this the best you've got?"

I have no problem with this.....just wonder what the ratio of "religous" folks is to unchurched. I tend to think you would be hard-pressed to find someone without any religous background.

His request is no different than the requirement here at AFF that Oneness doctrine not be questioned or debated as it is one of the foundational doctrines of a "Oneness" Pentecostal forum.

I am surprised he just "requested" it. I would have expected a firm directive not a request.

I am sure there are forums out there who are open to discussing Oneness vs. Trinitarianism just as there are those who are not.

I hope you are including OP's in your assessment Scott. I think that the great tragedy of 21st Century Pentecostalism is the denominational mindset of many Pentecostals. My observation is that "religious folks", as you call them, sit in Pentecostal pews as well as traditional mainline church pews. The churches that are having revival are those who are breaking out of the "religious" mold of traditional Pentecostalism and totally focused on getting SINNERS saved by meeting them at the point of their need.
