when a woman didn't have hose on they use to call it "going bare legged" lol! most of our churches required ALL the women to wear them when they stepped out of the house. I have not heard that preached in years but many do still require it just on the platform probably because the dresses are not as long as they use to be???

I believe that standards can cut across "times" and "trends" but regulating frillys is weird and out there IMO
