He is Scottish, but he invented it while living in the Maritimes.

This is a clip from a CBC Mini series about Canada building a modern Intercept Jet and this clip shows them buzzing the Americans.
The Avro Arrow had 5 planes built in the late 50's and then were scrapped for political reasons and the 5,000 employess of the Avro Corp went to work for the US Aviation industries.

Yeah, that was a shame. The jet could have been a real monster. A legend.


By the way... the acting in that clip was horrible.
