Well, I get it. I don't agree with you in that I believe that sometimes war is necessary, but I am not going to jump on the JW bashing bandwagon. I happen to agree with him that the US is anything but an innocent victim in this war on terror. Like I said in another post, we like to think that the rest of the world is just itching to be like us so we make a point of trying to mold other cultures in the image of our own, even if that means using bombs in the process. I don't pretend to have all the answers for what ails the world, but I do know that we need to learn how to mind our own business and stop meddling in everyone else's affairs.
It isnt a gut feeling it is an actual fact. I have seen any number of documentaries on the History Channel discussing it. I remember studying this in college.

Ferd, I really found it interesting. I'd be willing to read it and learn more about it. However, the media today features our wars...but it rarely reflects on how the American conscience grappled with such action. If Jeremiah Wright were going by what he sees in the Media...are we surprised that he would think we bombed Japan without batting an eye?

In truth I'm holding to a theological teaching that stands against Christian involvement or advocacy of war. We stand and pray. We stand and die. But we do not wage war as pawns of earthly nations. And war is viewed as a judgment of God.
You really should read David K. Bernad's book, Practical Holiness a Second Look. It discusses this issue from my perspective in depth. I'll present it in a thread all of it's own later tonight or tomorrow if you'd like. I'll have to type up a few chapters of it to cut and refer to. It might take time but I'm willing to put forth the effort to refute your Hanitized methods of attacking my character.
