Re: AFF apostolic or not?
Just like a liberal would do. Pick the part you want and throw out the rest.

Haha! And here I would expect you to say that it sounds like something a WOMAN would do!

Re: AFF apostolic or not?
Am I a liberal? I too like the word friends...
To some Jesus was considered liberal...
I was laughing the other day about a certain group that feel like they are better or above others...Only certain people can come to their houses they teach their ministers to be above the people....Jesus was sure left out because he was with the people, ate with the people, talked to those the religious class considered below them...
Kinda strange people singing, "to be like Jesus" but in reality they could never live like Jesus..it would cost them too much!
(those are just my thoughts)

No way did the Apostles believe or teach that.
Evidently, there are multiple definitions of "Apostolic" now, just as there are multiple definitions of "Baptist", "Catholic", etc.
These labels and descriptions that we give ourselves are starting to mean less and less nowadays.

I don't believe that, and don't know who does...even those with whom I differ on other things baptize in the Name of Jesus.

Barb, I hate to disappoint you but it's true.
It's been brought up many times over the years.
I think you just don't want to accept it

It is NOT that I don't want to accept it...I said I don't know who does, and I don't.
Perhaps I don't pay as close attention as others here...

St. Mark thinks that we're fine with folks being baptized any way they want to. That's far from the truth. I'm not aware of anyone on here comfortable with anything else than Jesus name baptism.
I will only say that I won't put folks in HELL that are baptized differently than we are! Only God will make that determination.

Re: AFF apostolic or not?
We are all baptized in Jesus Name however we have not been asking to sit on the judging council.

Sis no one is trying to sit on the Judgment council (not me)
BUT after being on the forum for over 5 years, it is clear that
many here DO baptize in Jesus name BUT it's not mandatory
it can be done AoG method and you'll still make it just the
same.
Just stating what is - that's all
