You all had a big Refuge Temple in Liberia as well and we used to fellowship together (Apostolic churches over there do that more than here). I am sure that Bishop Bonner came there once while I was over there.
Our Church in Liberia is still there with over 10 other works in the surrounding areas. Bishop still comes on the Radio to this day all over the world.

Yes, I believe that my father and the churches still fellowship with them. The UPC was the biggest Apostolic org there by far, but Refuge Temple always had great music. There was a guy there by the name of Erastus Deline who had their music department tight.

I might be white but I love organ music,I love to hear the waterway sung right, that kind of music just touches you.
I love to hear that organ playing behind the preacher.
If those kind of services don't set aflame your wood is wet.

Well, we can put my White pastor in Eb and turn him loose. I'm sure that some don't like having an organ back up the preacher, but as long as it is not distracting, loud, or at the wrong time, we do it.

Well you know the African American tradition is to play that hammond B3 organ behind our pastors as the pastor hoops and hacks us into a frenzy. Most of our churches have balance and dont do it the whole sermon. Just at the end when people want to start jumping over benches and running the aisles (lol).

You know I've always wanted to preach with an organ player behind me,of course my wife says I preach too slow for that.
Another thing I love to hear is a preacher who uses a reader.I think it's neat.
EFlat a person must sure enough be able flat out sing to sing in a key like that.

I love the way the message starts at one pace and jumps into another.
And at the end the saints go to running and shouting it's a beautiful sight to behold.

Elder William Wilkins, Jr., Chairman
I have been away from the COOLJC for almost 5 years now, but I thought Bishop Norwood left the org a while ago...am I mistaken, or did he leave and return?!
Bishop Maxwell I have known forever. On the day that he has his first service as pastor in Lansing, there were 5 souls there...the elder, his wife, his daddy, his only sister, and me.
Re: Invitation To Our 89th Holy Convocation (COOLJ
Bishop Matthew Norwood never left the Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ of the Apostolic Faith. It is said that they made him presider in order for him not to leave. You know he somewhat believes in women clergy. At one time on his website prior to turning the church over to his son, he had Mother Miriam Norwood as Co-Pastor listed and the organization had a fit (plus she was in hooped earrings etc etc....they were not pleased). I have not seen Bishop Norwood since last year when we made him presider. Usually the presider makes his way around all the churches but Bishop Norwood stays over seas alllllllll the time in India and Africa building and overseeing churches.
