If you have small children who like to use a lot of toilet paper, stepping on the roll before putting it on will keep them from pulling off too much.
Also, I recently read about cutting paper towels in half. Since I have a dispenser that sits on the counter, I thought I would try it. So far so good!

Here is a question for some of you. If you had 40% to put down on a house and you were required to put 20% down, should you:
1.Put down the 20 and then after you start paying put the other 20% down?
2. Put down 40 at the beginning of the loan?
3. Put down 20 and invest the other 20 in something else?

I have a number of money-saving recipes I will post. Some of them I looked long and hard for! If you have any, please post!
Homemade Granola
3/4 c brown sugar
1/3 c vegetable oil
1/3 c honey
5 c oatmeal
1/2 c dry milk
3/4 t cinnamon
pinch of salt
1/2 c raisins (add after cooking)
Mix brown sugar, oil and honey in saucepan. Heat until sugar is dissolved. Put dry ingredients in large cake pan. Pour sugar mixture over dry mixture and mix well. Bake at 375 for 10 minutes. Store in airtight container after cooling. You can also add other ingredients as desired (coconut, etc.)

Cleaning Solution
1/2 c ammonia
1/3 c vinegar
2 T baking soda
1 gallon water
Mix. Put in spray bottle.

Cappuccino
1/2 c instant coffee
3/4 c sugar
1 c nonfat dry milk
Add cocoa or cinnamon or other dry flavors as desired.

Hot Cocoa
10 2/3 c dry milk
6 oz non-dairy coffee creamer
1 lb chocolate milk mix
1/3 c confectioners sugar
Mix ingredients. 1/2 c mix to 1 c hot water.

The answer is and should be different for different people.
#1. age? Are children in the picture?
#2. other existing debt?
#3. credit card debt?
#4. length of the home loan?
#5. any other sources of income should things get tight later?
