Re: I Once Was on The Rush Limbaugh Show

Knowing Rush some as a teenager going up in Cape Girardeau, MO I have trouble listening to him. I don't think he believes half of what he says, he is just an entertainer.

Re: I Once Was on The Rush Limbaugh Show

I once sent peanut brittle to a famous gospel singer and a box of the same to a famous TV family of Apostolic background.

I have talked on the air for two different radio stations.

I met a local deejay at a car dealership this summer and he gave me two teeshirts. He would have also given me free Saluki tickets but I wasn't available when they were playing.

I met the weatherman at a news station in Milwaukee. His first name is Brian.

I have spoken to the local weatherman on several occasions. My son played ball with his son years ago.

I have a picture of my brother, Bro. Stoneking, and I.

I met Bruce Howell's mother years ago before her death and know several of his family members personally.

I have known Danny Willis and his family for over 30 years.

I have a friend who's hands were used in the movie "Angels in the Outfield".

I know a few members of the Gateway Chorale.

Allan Oggs was my cousin.

I have shaken the hand of Kenneth Haney.

I shook the hand of either Gerald Ford or Jimmy Carter. Can't remember which as I was about 4.

I personally met George Ryan, the former IL governor now serving time in prison, back when he was a nobody in office. I didn't like him then either.

I know the circuit judge for this county. Had his sign in my yard until recently.

I think that's about all the famous people I know.

My family was trapped in the middle of a nasty civil war and had to be rescued by marines.

Re: I Once Was on The Rush Limbaugh Show

Let me see-
I have been interviewed on the news several times.
I have had my picture on the front page of our newspaper twice and had a couple of articles written about my work.
I was on Buckskin Bill - a local children's tv show- in the 1960's.
My sister dated a band member of the First Edition- Kenny Rogers band- when she was in college.
My brother was in Pres. Kennedy's funeral as a Navy Honor Guard Man.

I forgot to add that I was once featured in the monthly periodical for work.

Re: I Once Was on The Rush Limbaugh Show

I refereed a paintball game for the Carolina hurricanes team, the year before they won the Stanley cup.

Met them all in person, chatted for a while and blocked a few paintballs when a few of them were getting overshot.

You'll never guess what question one of them asked before going onto the field......
"Will it hurt if I get hit?"
I looked at him and said "Dude..... you're a professional hockey player, and you're wondering if a paintballs gunna hurt?

Of course the whole team got a great laugh out of that and ragged him for the rest of the day.

Kenneth Haney, Anthony mangun, Wayne Mcclain, Charles Mahaney, and several others have signed a Bible that I will be giving to my son one day. I've met them all and shaken their hands.

I've played key roles in dramatic performances to crowds of over 2000.
In High School our Drama class won statewide first place for drama, every actor in that drama won personal awards. Ive been a part of TV and newspaper reports of some of those drama's.

Ive sang in the choir and ushered at the UPCI general conference.
(We also sang at Jackson music conference.)

I married the most beautiful girl in the world.

Oh... and I met Elvis at a walmart 3 years ago.

I once roped and dragged a bull out of a bad thicket on the old Hensely place that nobody else would ride a horse into.

I was 16 years old.
