The cherub referred to here was Lucifer. The King of Tyre was never in the garden of Eden.
We can speak to the devil that resides in a man.

It is my understanding that two beings are addressed in this chapter of Ezekiel. First the "prince" of Tyre, the human ruler at the time. This would be verses 1-10. Then the real power behind the throne, satan, in verses 11-19, called the "king" of Tyre.

Re: Nightline question: Does satan exist?
CP once said that even satan could be redeemed of he would repent. Now he claims satan is a myth...hmmmm...
And last night, when the moderator asked, "Do you believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God?", CP said, "No..."
Seems to me, if we don't believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God, we might as well set the Book aside and find something else to do with our time.

Re: Nightline question: Does satan exist?
The sad and very scary part to me is that I remember Carlton Pearson being a strong, Holy Ghost filled, worship leader and man of God. He recorded those anointed Azusa albums, and could preach the house down. It's very disturbing to see what he has become! His countenance is even different.

Oh, I agree...
It's another example of choosing the right people to align yourself with. As I recall, his theology changed when he met a New Aged bishop...can't think of his name. I'll google CP later and see if I can find out who this dude is.
At any rate, it is both sad and scary...
He sat there with his legs stretched out in front of him, resting his chin on his hand, and with a smile said, "I've made the same arguements before myself..." His manner and statements left me cold.
CP mentioned his 4th generation heritage in the COGIC during that broadcast, but he fails to understand that neither heritage or years of service in any church or organization are of benefit if we do not believe in the inerrancy of the Scriptures.
Perhaps another definition of heresy is when we pick and choose which part of truth we embrace as truth...just my humble opinion...

Two kids were talking.
One said, "Do you believe in the devil?"
The other said, "No, I think he's just like Santa Claus.
He's really your Dad."

While I don't agree with all that CP says, I believe you took that statment out of context.
He said we have no original manuscripts, what we do have was hand translated by scribes. Converted from Hebrew into Latin and into English, so what we have is what men have interpreted to be the inspired Word of God.
Not saying I agree, just giving more context to what the man said.

what is "saved" if there is no heaven or hell? Why even have church? Other than to earn a paycheck?

- The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
- Every sinner must repent of their sins.
- That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
- That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
- The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.

"Precious Memories" is my favorite Azusa album, with Pop Winans and Donnie McClurkin. Mickey Mangun also recorded with CP on an Azusa album.

For all of CP's verbiage, the man clearly said he does not believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God.
Furthermore, by sitting with Chopra, he aligned himself with a man who does not believe the Bible to be the inspired Word of God.
There is nothing to take out of context here.
2 Peter 1:21
21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost. KJV
That one verse makes it clear...the Spirit of God moved/inspired/directed men to write what thus saith the Lord.
Everything we believe is wrapped up, tied up, tangled all up in this.
