At least people are TALKING about the Miss USA pageant now - I did not know it was even on until the next day when I saw it all on the news. It go them what they wanted and Miss California should be outraged because she was used.
I didn't know it had been on until the next day either and I wouldn't have watched it if I had known it was on. But this little issue has certainly got my attention.

And yes... she... and we... should be outraged.

D4T- I totally agree with you - The PC movement is one of the most dangerous movements in our country today- It is threatening our freedoms in ways that bigots and "McCarthyists" could never threaten. We live in an upside down world now. I admire you for speaking out.

This morning on "Today", Matt Lauer gave Carrie Prejean a second chance to answer the "controversial" question.

Her answer: "The way that I answered might have been offensive...but to me, it was biblically correct."

I agree, I mean please, have you ever looked in the newsroom on the ACLU website?

4/15/2009 ACLU demands Tennessee schools stop censoring gay
educational websites. They have sent a letter demanding that Knox
County Schools, Metro Nashville Public Schools, and the Tennessee
Schools Cooperative unlock the Internet filtering category designated
"LBGT" so that students can access political and educational
information about LBGT issues on school campuses.

Since when is this part of our children's education? Thank God I homeschool, if this is now going to be part of our American School education.

I was undecided about homeschooling until I started talking to someone about this issue. I don't want my young children taught in school that homosexuality is okay.

Pragmatist,

You know, this hasn't happened overnight, 13 years ago, I took my first child out of first grade. This was after seeing a book on her school library shelf that was promoting what was then termed an "alternative" lifestyle. I said it then and I say it now, IT DOES NOT BELONG IN OUR SCHOOLS EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM.

If my Jesus can't be taught in their schools, then this shouldn't be either!

Yet another reason for me and my wife to find alternate education for our daughter when she's old enough for school.

It was the gay judge that politicized the pageant by asking a controversial political question that could not be side-stepped. The contestant was not running for a political office, so what difference did her opinion make? The judge was hoping for controversy, and got it!

IMO, this judge should be barred from all future pageants.

That was my exact thoughts when I saw a clip on his blog. He reminded me of the spewing Barney Frank.
