God used that song in my life. It helped turn me around.
You know....lately I've realized that I just kind of let things go. It's a nice place to be. That doesn't mean there aren't times when things are stirred up, but I remember a time when I felt daily anger and resentment. I don't remember when I stopped but I think you just get sick of feeling angry all the time and realize you can't change it anyway. (But anger is also a necessary step. Some woule likd to just skip that part. You can't heal until you first feel the anger.) However, I just am happy to be elsewhere with my life. Life is too short to spend being angry.

It is. It's too short to waste years wallowing in the past.

I had been very hurt and couldn't seem to put myself back together. I worried about what others said, what others thought. Why these things had happened. I wanted other people to validate my feelings and tell me I was right for feeling this way. I just couldn't seem to MOVE ON.

That song hit me right between the eyes. Okay, it was bad. It really was. But it's time to put your life back together and move on. One line says "A lifetime of pretending won't put Humpty Dumpty back again. Be your own best friend." We can wallow and wallow in "Why, why, why????" And waste so much time wishing things were different. There comes a time when we have to just realize it is what it is and move on. To me the song just said - do YOURSELF a favor and GET OVER IT.

That song really began my healing process and my world is SO different now. The past is truly in the past for me.

This is how I feel as well. I'm glad you are finding yourself moving on.
