Re: Things stolen while at church.
First I am not sure what I would say to him but I would like to ask him. BUT the key is that he would have to come around for that to happen. Have not seen him since the theft took place.

Re: Things stolen while at church.
Sorry for your sons loss. I agree with the others who have said "Change your locks" and would only add the word "now!" to that statement.
Being in the security profession (mainly PC/network) I am thinking and reading in this area constantly. We have a couple of dogs which does help, but am also adding security camera's along with the basic monitored security system.

Re: Things stolen while at church.
Do you think security cameras are necessary?
From a financial pov only, I think the dogs and the locks will be enough.
But this is from a guy who's Dad had him stay home from church on Friday nights and Sundays to guard the property with a shotgun from his bedroom window when we were burglarized, repeatedly.

You can get a basic two camera security system from SAMs club for about 200 bucks. Additional camera's can be added to it as needed.
There have been times I would have LOVED to have had them up and running! And soon, it will be so.

i had thought about it in the past and had not done it because I felt the dogs were enough but NOW????
Yeah I think one or two in the house in strategic locations and two outside covering the most likely used places of entry

As crazy as it sounds I am even going to mix in a couple of those fake ones (a plastic housing with blinking LED) in between the real ones. GOOD thieves can spot the fake ones which means they will smile wide for the real cameras.
