What does the bibe say about our minds. That is the answer and always will be. I've might have missed but I haven't read promsise of perfect bodily health.
My Brother, you haven't missed it, because it isn't there.

This is the logic of my former college classmate who's dorm room was across from mine and who gave me rides to work. He's about to be sentenced to many years in prison for this logic.
This point isn't debatable so I won't. But any person who reads this that is struggling, please ignore the religious condemnation and get help. There's nothing "weird" about you. You're ok and loved by God. Ignore the voices of Eliphaz, Bildad, and Zophar (Job's friends). Through the power of God's grace, seek help. There's nothing wrong with getting help.

Psalms 103:1 Bless the LORD, O my soul,
and all that is within me,
bless his holy name!
2 Bless the LORD, O my soul,
and forget not all his benefits,
3who forgives all your iniquity, who heals all your diseases,

Based on comments/answers I've read on this very thread as well as others, THIS is why I made the comment in my prior post.
oh I almost forgot, PEOPLE in real life, included., I've known about.
I bet even JESUS Himself is right now shaking His sovreign head at the comments/answers given here by some that He had thought
[ and/or probably knows better ] were HIs.
Now I'm not saying that the medical field doesn't have its own areas of
expertise., nor that we should ignore them; but a born again saint is NOT supposed to be giving honor/glory
to anyone for anything but JESUS., He knows all the rest that goes on, He knows what we know and then some.
He expects that our 'witness' be with Him as #1.. *sigh*

Without the Holy Ghost we are lost. No headshrinker is able to do anything for anyone. They never cure their clients. Jesus cures those He heals.
Sister Dora, I am all for making sure a child has all the attention needed in a crisis.
Psychiatry is not medicine, it is quackery.
Again...this is the logic of extremism that causes people to refuse a blood transfusion that could save their life.
Mental illness and depression that is generational/hereditary is very serious and needs to be medically addressed.
I'm using my voice here only for the sake of those who are battling between the words of logic and the words of extremism.

It disturbs me how people can continue such archaic thinking.
Stigmatizing getting sound counsel is like thinking human beings are less intelligent because they have darker skin, or thinking that women shouldn't go to school.
Radicals will do just about anything to hold on to concepts that give them power to manipulate. As if to say to a hurting person, "Don't get help because if you do, you might realize I am leading you down a destructive path."
If you need help, don't let anyone stop you from seeking good counsel/therapy. It could save your life.
