You'll need a few days and will have to rent a floor sander. No way around that one!

Wow! You need to be paid/reimbursed for more than what I know about. That was alot of work! That would have cost the homeowner big bucks if he had hired someone to do it.

Well, I'm not putting any more work in this house other than what I have left to do with the doors and cabinets.

I'm also still waiting on what they are going to do for reimbursement for my time. All I want is the rest of this month in free rent. I don't think that's too much to ask, considering I pay less than $20 a day to rent the place!

Today is moving day, so pray for me and my son that we don't damage anything we've done!!

I'm hoping he'll see it that way too!

Praying for you! Just don't get in a hurry like your son did with the paint stripper. It needs time to work and sometimes it needs several more applications. Patience is a virtue. LOL!

I guess on the floors your only alternative is area rugs. Since it's not your house, that's what I would do.

Hope all goes well!!!

Son didn't do the paint stripper, I did. Sat for an hour but didn't work......LOL! Applied a couple more applications, still didn't work...LOL!

Anyway, we took one load over, and just have one more to go. Everything else can be taken in the van. My son took both seats out, so there's lots of room.

My cats aren't happy though. I have them locked up in my laundry room so I don't have to chase them later. Just checked on them and they are glaring at me. I don't think they like me right now. LOL!

Eating lunch now, then loading up more stuff. Can't wait til this is over.

Oh, and I won't have internet for over a week. Seems that they want you to pay the bill before they transfer the account, which I can't do until next Wednesday...haha.

Figures.

My lord, some people are just nuts!

You've done a great job - I think they owe you about 6 months rent free for all that you've done!!!!

Re: Need advice about latex paint

I'm still waiting to hear what my reimbursement will be, but the property manager said yesterday that he thinks the owner will just give me a couple days.

If that's the case, my 'honeydo' list for them just got larger. I WILL NOT finish the kitchen, the cabinets (which need stripping, as they won't close. They also need magnets to keep them closed once they are able to close), the trim, and the two doors that also need stripping and refinishing....something I have yet to do on my own time. In fact, one door is so bad, I think it'll need replacing, as it has a love letter in glitter glue on it. Here's 2 pictures. In the first pic, you can see where I tried to sand it but it took 20 minutes to do that little bit. In the second, it's the love letter. Stupidest thing for an adult to do.
