Re: 10.01.09-The End of Haneywood - D. Bernard New
So, DB it is. WOW, that is an interesting chain of events, indeed. It would appear that the conservatives have the "con" now. (pun intended) It will be interesting to see how it plays out. I can't tell you how much "fun" it is to be watching from the sidelines with absolutely nothing to gain or lose by who sits on the hallowed WEC "throne."
I pray him well and an extra thick hide! Unless he is able to unite the factions, he'll either resign early, or there will be another exodus....maybe both.

I know two former waitresses personally who have said the same thing.
More importantly, I've been at restaurants with fellow Apostolics and seen abysmal tips left (or none at all)--and my husband has thrown more money on the table when they weren't looking. (And yes, I'm smart enough to know that SOME people put the tip on their credit card.)
It's silly to act like Apostolics are experts at social graces. Many of them are not, and are actually rude, difficult customers.
Our pastor teaches that if you can't afford to tip well, you can't afford to eat out.

Now, I'm not saying this is true of all Apostolic/Pentecostals but it does apply to many of them. And, they have that reputation among those who work in the restaurant business.

Yes, I vote for Jesus Christ. He IS the head of THE church. It does not matter who is voted in as the head of a man made organization, Jesus Christ is still Lord of all.

This is a very common rumor. I've heard it myself. Our pastor purposely teaches on this subject so that we can avoid that reputation.

Exactly! We seem to love to make ourselves so special, or stupid or something - depending on the issue! LOL!

Re: 10.01.09-The End of Haneywood - D. Bernard New
YOu must be referencing young people. Kids are kids. We tell our kids as well to remember that they are representing Jesus, and to always be gracious. This doesn't mean they never have an off night
Most out-to-eaters have the change. Apostolics many times eat our for convenience. We've tried to fix this as well. I think they've gotten a worse reputation than they deserve though.

Word has it that this is true. And he isn't happy to see what remains of the healthy church when he left. The "word has it", I probably shouldn't have repeated it, because to be honest, this came from 5th and 6th-hand sources.
