Can we conlude that mean spirited folks are not Disiciples of Jesus?

Re: Im proud to be Apostolic... but
perhaps they love Christ in their own way however the lack the fruits of the spirit...so glad I am sitting in the home of some of the sweetest people I know...it is so good to feel wanted...I dread going to churches where no one speaks to you...unless you speak to them...

No. The HG was given to lead and guide into all truth. Forgive, let the HG lead and love your neighbor. No qualifications. Just love your neighbor.

Re: Im proud to be Apostolic... but
Reminds me of an old poem:
There's so much bad in the worst of us,
and so much bad in the best of us,
it doesn't behoove any of us
to talk about the rest of us.
Also reminds me of an old Gospel song.....
"Why don't we get along,
everything I do is wrong.
Tell me, what's the reason
I'm not pleasin' you?

Re: Im proud to be Apostolic... but
Love the poems, Sam.
This thread makes me want to ask the question:
What constitutes an "enemy" ???
Who has any??

I have several people who are enemies.
My biggest enemy is my self, my flesh, my will, the "old me" that does not want to submit to God and thinks that I do not need the Lord.
My other enemies are satan and a horde of his dark angels that are determined to pester, vex, hinder etc in any way they can in an attempt to cause me to throw in the towel and give up.
There are some people who do not like me because I am a one-stepper and I believe that anyone who believes in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus and who confesses Him as Lord is justified/saved/born again and therefore my brother or sister whether they ever get baptized in water or speak with tongues or not. I even have brothers and sisters who do not believe in speaking with tongues.
Oneness Apostolics look at me several ways. Some think I am confused; some think I am lost; some think I am a compromiser; some think I am a false prophet; reprobate and beyond help. One had several names for me, about the only one I remember is "spawn of satan." Others just accept me as I am. When I was going to the Vineyard Church, one Apostolic compared me to the prodigal son and the Vineyard was the hog pen.

No comments on this "old Gospel song" I tried to quote?
Anybody remember hearing it before?
It's probably not available in cd, dvd, or sheet music from the PPH.

Well, maybe nobody here is old enough to have heard that.
It's not really a gospel song.
It's a song by Fats Domino from many, many years ago.
That's some of the music teenagers listened to when I was a teenager half a century ago.

Re: Im proud to be Apostolic... but
I'm not proud to be anything. I have nothing at all to be proud of. But I am grateful to be saved by the amazing grace of a God who loves me passionately and pursued me passionately. I am in awe that He has filled me with His love and given me the opportunity to share how much, how deeply, how powerfully, how passionately, He loves everyone. You can't make God love you more, and you can't make God love you less. His love simply is. I'm in awe of my Savior and Redeemer who loved me when I was unlovable and unreachable.
