Oh and another thing that you may not know. Most of these Mega-Ministry Preachers, have other businesses that are NOT non-profit. I know one that owns 12 private jets and leases them to businesses around the world. He makes millions on that. Others own mansions and lease them to Saudi Arabian sheiks & other wealthy people and they make millions on those. Most of them own other businesses outside of the ministry.

Those religious organizations that are profiting off of people SHOULD be taxed like any other business.
There IS a point when personal extravagance becomes immoral. It's hard to tangibly (and fairly) draw that line, but it's the truth anyway.

I have no problem with people and companies making money. My pastor likes to build and sell vintage motorcycles in his spare time. My problem (and I think it is obvious to many people...including the IRS) is with the great number of people who are taking and consuming obscene amounts of money from people who can't afford to give it. I just know too many people who are being victimized by those selling blessings and healings and deliverance and the favor of God and 55 promises and financial breakthrough...and anything else that comes to mind.
Either way, I guess that's not the point of this thread. This is just a huge issue for me.

And for the record, taking millions that people have given for the work of God and buying planes and mansions to make money off of is not all that noble to me either. If the money came from another source then that's well and good and just good old fashioned American business. If somebody takes millions of dollars of church money to buy extravagant things that they can rent to produce personal residual income...
Okay I'm done

Oddly enough, I don't have a problem with ministers living as extravagantly as they please, as long as their money is earned honestly, and the books are open for inspection. Last I knew, the BH ministry's books were not open.

he is full of hot air. he's been laying this trash out for years. claiming to have all the inside dirt that would scandalize everyone while at the same time chastizing anyone who speaks against a false prophet like benny hinn.
