What Does It Mean To Be "Meek?" Who must be meek?

In Christ's Sermon on The Mount He said these words. Mt 5:5* Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.

Other references to the subject of meekness...
Ps 22:26 The meek shall eat and be satisfied: they shall praise the LORD that seek him: your heart shall live for ever.

Ps 37:11 But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.

Are some individuals on Forums exempt from being "meek?" Are preachers in the pulpit excluded from being meek?

How do some of you on AFF define "meek?" Is it a necessary trait of a Christian? Do some "posts" on AFF fail to portray meekness?

Not judging, not trying to be sanctimonious or "holier than thou!"

Just...

Meekness is a fruit of the Spirit. It means to be gentle and humble. Not exalting ones self.

I think Michael and I are both qualified as exemplars of "meekness," if anyone is really interested in seeing how it's done.

Dear Abby or her twin sister, Ann Landers once said, "Those that think they are humble,
usually aren't"!. Could that also apply for those who think they are meek!!

Meekness is not weakness.

I think the bible says something about Moses being the meekest man on earth . Kind of makes one think about what God's definition of meekness is.
