Tina, yes, people definitely have different lines. While Unplugged can be helpful getting an idea of the movie, the tally system doesnt really tell the story for me. Schindler's List, for example, would sound like a X-rated film on the tally system, but the sense you get when watching the film is not titilation.

I understand what you're saying about certain movies, and you would be correct. You can't depend on those reviews for everything about a movie. However when you have very impressionable young children who will hear or see everything that is shown on a screen, you kind of pay attention to those reviewers.

Our son always has a girlfriend and my husband doesn't understand why he thinks he needs one.

Him not being the type to need a girlfriend all the time doesn't really satisfy the issue at hand. Also, by saying "battle," I'm not saying that all men are in over there heads to the same degree. Many men have learned to keep these issues at bay, but they are still there. They are just as vulnerable isolated in a dark room with another woman.
I know men who never had girlfriends but were sex addicts. I knew men who had tons of girlfriends but were sex addicts. I think it's a social factor.
History and civilation is replete with examples of the ridiculous power of sex, especially as it relates to men.

I would fast forward over every movie before I let them view it.

Yes, I do in fact believe it's literally "every man's battle."

I think you are being a bit contradictory. It's either every man's battle or it is not.

Not at all.
One is losing the battle or winning it. They are still in the battle.
Not really contradictory at all. It's every man's battle.

I typed out something three times, erased it, went back to read. I think I'm lost. LOL! I don't see my husband as having a daily battle or a battle he is having to even win.

Your blessed PO. My husband has always had this battle and it is an everyday battle. I think it has a lot to do with his personality. He is extremely sanguine.

I do think it has to do with personality. Frankly, I think that he would have been happier living with Davy Crockett, but here we are! He is living in the wrong century. LOL! He is shocked when someone uses the term, "sleeping with someone". He'll say, "That's a stupid thing to say. You know you aren't asleep!" It's just too funny. Sometimes I feel our five years difference is more than five years! LOL!
