Yep, you're hopeless!
The sarcasm is about them being buddies. They're NOT.

Some say Modesto, which was once a pretty conservative congregation, is now quite on the liberal fringe (at least in terms of UPC churches). Anyone that attends there? Haven't heard anything about RC in ages though, so definitely not a credible person to suggest this.

At least we know they were very good childhood friends. And hey, since KH is related to NJW, it's all one big happy family anyway? haha

They may not be now, but they once were.

They were not children when Bro. Keyes came here to preach, and my pastor referred to him as a dear and trusted friend.
Nor were they children when they went to pray together for a childhood friend dying of Aids in San Fransisco.
But enough about this...

Barb, not sure where you're coming from. Sounds like I upset you. I didn't insinuate they weren't friends. Was saying I know FOR SURE they were childhood friends. I also know they attended landmark events in each other's life (birthday's, graduations, anniversary's, etc)

No, you did not upset me in the least. Daffydude said they were NOT best buds, and I am just saying that is news to me. I was merely relating things as I knew them back in the day.
But then again, I am not in that Western arena to know. Though I have friends who attend The Rock Church, we have not discussed it.
You and I are fine, Max...thanks for checking though...

Re: Randy Keyes
Liberal by UPC standards? Wouldn't think so by the website. Or the Herald quotation on preaching points, where he says that standards are not separate from the new birth. :-/

That's my response to Mr. Keyes being liberal. Oh boy, could I tell some stories.
