Philippians 1:15-17
Some indeed preach Christ even from envy and strife, and some also from goodwill: The former preach Christ from selfish ambition, not sincerely, supposing to add affliction to my chains; but the latter out of love, knowing that I am appointed for the defense of the gospel.
If all this strife is what awaits me as a Christian, then I don't want to be a Christian.
Good reminder, but I hope you won't judge what God has for you by things said here.
Maybe this is where our thoughts should be:
Philippians 4:8
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
2. Saying "what the heck/hell" is not taking the Lord's name in vain.
3. Does the Bible forbid cursing?
4. Jesus cursed.
This literally cracked me up considering your name and all:
1 Timothy 6:20-21
O Timothy! Guard what was committed to your trust, avoiding the profane and idle babblings and contradictions of what is falsely called knowledge—by professing it some have strayed concerning the faith.
You shouldn't make light of something as serious as Hell.
Cursing is a sin.
God don't like that.
First, it's "God DOESN'T like that."
Second, I know what it's slang for and I would have used "hell" in that spot but I would have been infracted for it. Personally, I don't have problem with that phrase but since others may, I didn't use it.
Using "Hell" in that place would not have been cursing. However, saying "Oh my God" would be taking the Lord's name in vain which is a clear violation of one of the Ten Suggestions.
