You're right. There are some "lazy Americans" that it doesn't bother but the number is growing by each increasingly invasive action. Let's just hope the tide continues to come in and we eventually get enough people with enough outrage to send the TSA packing along with all the other draconian measures being taken on nationwide.

back of the hand pat downs ceased to be the standard procedure with the new enhanced pat downs that we are all griping about.
Keep up.

That's too bad, MB. I strongly disagree. And that's very easy for you to say, a white woman.
FTR, a child could be just as reasonably strapped with explosives these days as a grown man (or woman). Terrorism has many different faces and skin colors.
First, a room for privacy should be used in the cases of the pat down and scan. Some secondary measures should be evaluated first: if the metal detector went off because of bobby pins, or a boy with a heart transplant who has his tags, that should go into considering what is reasonable to continue the process and search.

These are the wicked that need job security. Of course they don't "circulate bulletins" of their own internal misconduct.
Quote:
A Transportation Security Agency worker who pats down members of the flying public was charged with multiple child sex crimes targeting an underage girl yesterday.
The bust outraged privacy and passenger advocates who say it justifies their fears about Logan International Airportīs full-body scanner.
Itīs a huge, huge issue,đ said Kate Hinni of FlyersrRights.org. The TSA needs a complete overhaul . . . If you have a pedophile looking at those naked pictures, they've got all your information, itīs a gross violation of their authority. . . . They should make sure none of them is corrupted in any deviant sexual manner.
Sean Shanahan, 44, of Winthrop was held on $50,000 bail after he was charged with two counts of statutory rape, two counts of enticing a minor and one count of indecent assault and battery. He was arrested yesterday at Massachusetts General Hospital, where he had checked himself in after a suicide threat, prosecutors said.
TSA spokeswoman Ann Davis said Shanahan had passed two background checks, neither of which picked up any record that would prevent him from getting a job.
Davis said Shanahan was hired in 2006, and there are no passenger complaints on record against him. He has not worked since his arrest.

Shouldn't these crazies do more background checks on their own and leave grannie alone?
So now these creeps want a union so the rapists will be harder to fire.

The horror stories are necessary to ensure continued compliance.

Coadie, tell me the background check process. Please stand and deliver. I process these daily.

He isn't questioning the process. He is questioning that more TSA agents aren't processed.

Counting the sheer numbers of those flying, those that work with the TSA, and law enforcement personel present and comparing these numbers to the complaints will bring it into perspective. The vast majority of Americans are not complaining. The vast majority of Americans understand what we are up against and why we're doing what we're doing. It's the "horror stories" of the relatively few occurances of abuse that are ensuring that this issue gets front page attention.

How is that possible? Occording to the federal security directive ALL TSA agents, contractors, and related personel must be processed to receive SIDA access. And there are regular audits of this process. The nature of that process is SSI so it can't be disclosed. However, if Coadie knows what he's talking about he can explain it here.
