The elements prepared, I slowly read the whole chapter while tears fell upon the pages of this precious, precious book. I lost it completely when I read about the disciples totally forsaking him at the time of his rest. They fled away leaving him alone. That was almost more than I could stand.
I managed to finish the chapter after which she and I took the Lord's supper. With our hearts filled with love and thanksgiving, we slowly moved away from the table and spent the next hour or so in the deepest of prayer and worship.
