Re: Pub Night Event
Are we really worrying about this??? We have a church gathering where the lost congregate to discuss faith and politics (sure conversation starters in any bar or pub). Most of the people they talk to will be out for a good time, maybe a little buz, but not to get "drunk". I'm all for it. I've personally seen how coffee shop conversations can be so provocative that those sitting adjacent chime in or ask if you're with a church. It's easy to draw people into a very deep and moving conversation about the Lord in public places. Odds are these lost people aren't going to get dressed up on Sunday morning and "go to church" I'm blessed to see the church... going to the lost. Sitting with them in a public venue. Being civil, open, non-judgmental, just sharing the good news about Jesus.
We need more of this. A bar and grill, resturant that has a bar, a pub, or any other such public venue is just fine...especially if the saints are going as a group.
