Re: Common Myths about Gay Christians
Aquila, not a single person here knows what any of the others are dealing with for all that we claim to be friends. We only know what we tell the others here and attempt to believe that everyone is in fact being honest about their claims.
The reason that I said that is this. I have seen the stats for this forum. There is a strong possibility that there is at least 3 people here who are struggling with homosexuality if the statistics are correct.
It is my strong contention that a person who struggles with homosexuality is no more a member of the homosexual lifestyle so long as they are not participating in it. I refuse to cave to the PC crowd that tells me that as a Christian I must submit to whatever anyone wants to call themselves. That is why we have 'gay Pentecostal' churches.
The fact is if it calls itself 'gay' it is not Christian. This is an argument that has been sown by liberal 'Christians' and their ear tickling theologians to dilute the truth of the Scriptures concerning sin. Even if their is a a genetic predisposition to homosexuality, we are not enslaved to our genetic material. God gave man self-control, and when filled with the Holy Ghost there is no excuse or argument to be made for a pseudo-homosexual agenda.
