Mom, Dad, and myself do not do much in the way of texting nor do we have smart phones. When we are at table, we are very careful about the length of any phone calls taken, generally requesting permission to return the call after we have completed the meal.
This rule holds no matter if we are in a restraunt or at home. We also are very careful about phone calls in and around the church. We almost never accept or place a call in the sanctuary no mater the reason.
