Just what are you driving at...or to be more exact, what are you wanting us to say?

I had put it to rest until somebody brought it back up. Ok. I will be plain.
Many Oneness pentecostals seem to have this belief that "bobbed hair women" are lost...not going to make it to heaven. Some who do not tithe exactly 10% will be lost. Some women seem to think that if they wear their skirts to mid calf and below, long sleeves, long uncut hair and all the other garbage they are supposed to be doing to "look right"... that they will make it to heaven. They are separated! All along prancing around with elaborate hairstyles and have "pride" in their long hair. That's pride of life. Women glory in their long hair and no makeup styles, while many of them put other women down because they do not look the part of a pentecostal. They are glorying in their appearance. Some women in church are so busy scrutinizing other women there that nothing gets done for the Lord. Many pentecostal men and women do not look deep enough into another sister to find if she is kind, generous, given to helping strangers, seeing after her family etc.
I am going to hammer at this until you all quit hammering the myth of uncut hair getting you into heaven. That is DEAD WORKS. It helps NOBODY but Unregistered
What exactly I am saying is that just because people "obey the grocery list of standards" they
think that they are separated from the world when in fact, they are not really as separated as they think they are.
What exactly I am saying is that many pentecostals have stinking pride. They DO have the lust of the eyes, the lust of the flesh and they take a lot of pride in their homes and what is in those homes. And some have rather large, expensive homes while living off what other people give to them to "further the gospel" they are told.
They DO have the pride of life. When I see preachers taking money from people who struggle simply because they say it's Bible tithing and God's going to get them if they do not tithe, and they live much higher than the ones who struggle, have larger homes, vacation homes, new SUVs... while the ones who give them the money drive 10 year old vehicles.
That's pride of life and yet these very same men and women will declare that they are separated from the world.
No they are not separated from the world. They lust after the things of the world. They lust after the high seats, the special recognition, titles and making a name for themselves, gluttony and many hardly lift a finger to help those who are truly in need.
My husband heard a preacher tell a congregation "If you don't have money to pay your rent, you pay your tithes anyhow. That'll make a man out of you".
HUH?
The Bible says "But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?"
So..what I am exactly "belaboring" here is that there is a difference between obeying standards of the church system and being separate in the world. You can obey the standards your entire life and and can still have the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes and the pride of life. Having that is not being separate from the world. That is biblical. That is straight forward.
Sadly, very few cannot or will not see that difference.
