It's like people (like me) who were raised in the RCC. We did certain customs because we were raised in those customs. There was no scripture for certain things we did like praying with rosary beads and to Mary and patron saints.

We did it because we were taught to without proof of scripture.
I don't recall the RCC teaching us to become Berean at any time. We just followed along and chanted whatever was in the Missalette.
