Yes it CAN happen here and probably will at some point but that is actually the opposite situation of what were discussing here.
Let me ask you this, what would or should happen if a 10 year old boy is deathly sick or had a bad accident and decides to call 911 on his own, but belongs to a "faith healing ONLY" couple? Are the police or ambulance obligated to cow to the parents wishes and leave? Or do they take the boy <drum roll and evil music> AGAINST the parents wishes to the nearest hospital for that insulin shot or to have the bones set and a cast put on?
