Internet Privacy, Attn: PO
if anyone here is concerned about tracking by websites, firefox has a new addon called "self-destructing cookies" that will destroy cookies after you leave page or if they try to track. "better privacy" is also an addon that destroys flash cookies not treated as regular cookies.
settings in firefox and better privacy should be examined closely. private browsing in firefox still stores cookies, so custom settings is preferable.
schoolofprivacy.eu is a privacy blog that has lots of further info. under "projects" they provide a portable version of firefox with about 20 privacy addons installed and ready to go. it is an earlier version of firefox, so "self-destructing cookies" won't work, but all of their addons work for that version of firefox. just an option to consider.
