Although I really think Paul here was talking about a spiritual defiling, and not a physical defiling, but that point could be debated I'm sure.

Yes but that same verse can be used to appeal to a LOT of things that are a sin.
Eating at McDonalds is a sin.
Being out in the sun is a sin
