How does one speak in tongues in his name otherwise? Did you have to command yourself in the name of Jesus to speak in tongues? No. By the authority of Jesus himself you did so. He authorized you to do so!

There may be some instances where "in my name" would be translated "by my authority", without
twisting the context. I will not argue that point.
But to
command oneself to speak in tongues? Give us a break: you know better! When a man submits
to the gospel, he receives repentance and remission of sin in His NAME, and the promise of the Holy
Spirit. What you don't seem to realize is that the detractors of the gospel will do anything to cause
believers to
turn aside from the
"...NAME that is above every name that is named." Perhaps you
have not heard:
"He that believes on him is not condemned: but he that believes not is condemned
already, because he hath not believed in the NAME of the only begotten Son of God." Folks,
especially those in the charismatic movement, are already denying his NAME
in the waters of baptism...and so on.
