Salvation is even more than an awakened sinner coming to rest upon the promises of God, because salvation is not resting upon the Word, nor just believing the Word. You can believe the Word and go to Hell! You can rest upon a promise and wake up in Hell. Salvation is even more than resting upon the finished work of Christ upon the cross.
