The plot thickens...
(Could just be a mere coincidence.)
A few days ago, while I was at work, a friend and brother in the Lord stopped in out of the blue. I baptized him at least ten years ago or more. I hadn't seen him in probably close to three years. He joined the National Guard, and that's about the last I had heard of him.
So, he stops in and we talk and catch up. He tells me about his training coming up. I ask him about his duties and responsibilities. He tells me he has become a certified Army Hazmat technician and that he is the driver for a Stryker designed to move into contaminated areas and test for radiation, noxious gases, and other such dangers.
He also tells me he's going to find out in the next couple of months if he's going to be deployed. He doesn't know where or when, but some Army brass have to come to his home and interview him to see if he's a good fit for whatever the purpose of the deployment is. He also had to fill out and submit a huge 100+ page document with questions about himself and etc.
Then, a day or two after that, for no particular reason, I decided to go take a peek at my former pastor's vlog (153greatfist.space) to see what he's been up to, since I hadn't heard much from him in quite some time. And guess what I found on his front page under Recent Teachings?
