Some of you people don't have a Bible religion. Your belief system would never inspire you to say stuff like this:
Hebrews 11:30-34 KJV
By faith the walls of Jericho fell down, after they were compassed about seven days. [31] By faith the harlot Rahab perished not with them that believed not, when she had received the spies with peace. [32] And what shall I more say? for the time would fail me to tell of Gedeon, and of Barak, and of Samson, and of Jephthae; of David also, and Samuel, and of the prophets: [33] Who
through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, [34] Quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of the aliens.
Y'all like the other verses, for sure, but your faith system would never inspire you to also hold up warriors who killed heathens and foreigners (in the name of Jehovah no less!) as examples of the faith without which God cannot be pleased.
You have a partially Biblical religion, a "let's just pick the parts we like and explain away or flat ignore the parts we don't like" religion. A religion that just so happens to be loved by tyrants and antichrists everywhere. A "too heavenly minded to be any earthly good" religion. The kind that explains why churchianity is dying out and becoming no more than social entertainment for women and children.
Just like in Spain back in the early 1900s up to the 30s. Go and learn what the result was.
