To me, it looks like Jesus is saying we ought to have some protection for ourselves. Why else would he instruct his disciples to buy a sword, if they don't have one? And they find two swords and he says that's enough, so no need to go overboard, either. Moderation! Common sense!
Just a thought. |
Jesus told them that two swords were enough for twelve men? If that's the way you interpret that scripture than pick the two Christians in the entire world that should own the two guns.
