I thank God that He sent me a friend who isn't afraid that I'll somehow poison her or make her backslide. She fellowships with me everyday in person and we talk several times a day on the phone.
We hunt, fish, swim, shop, and eat together. We have talks, we pray for one another, and we attend the same church.
I have had friends in the past who put conditions on our friendship. When I didn't change to what they expected, the friendship ended. They felt I wasn't 'making a move' to be saved (or whatever they meant by that statement) and they left me alone.
God saw fit to send a woman preacher into my life who truly has the love of God. A love that is the same as what is spoken about in
1 Cor. 13.
We've been friends for over four years now. She hasn't changed because of me but I have sure changed because of her.
Only God knows what I would have done without her.
