In the bible they had pastors and bishops, not DS's and GS's....in fact if it were not for that sort of thinking perhaps there would have been less churches eventually submitting to Rome. Rome forced edicts on the churches. It was not an alliance of men of like faith. Rather they decreed "this is how we are all going to believe" which is really what UC wants. He wants a church that decrees edicts that ALL churches and pastors are bound by or they must go. What the resolution does is remove one such edict that we don't all agree on anyways, from being binding on the whole group
