This will do several things. It will empower her to do little jobs, it will communicate that you trust her to do little jobs, she will like having the power in her hand....and last but not least, you will have a cool little toy if she simply doesn't use it.

My husband bought me one of those, but for ME, they don't have enough power, really, and are hard for me to handle., too small.
Instead get her a compound mitre saw, and if she doesn't like it, I'll be glad to take if off your hands,
