I am shampooing my carpets today. A few years ago I bought my own shampooer. It has already paid for itself. I used to rent shampooers to do this. Back then it was about $40.00 for a day's rental (plus the headache of picking it up and feeling like I HAD to do all of my house in one day). I paid $80.00 for this shampooer (It was a demo model.) Granted, it doesn't clean as well as industrial ones but I do it more often. I love having one!
