In one of the tightwad gazette books, she tells about having pantyhose with runs in one of the legs on each pair. So in true tightwad style, she cuts off the bad leg just below the panty part on each pair. Then she wears BOTH of the parts that had a good leg left on them.
(Yes, I've read the books. NO- I don't have half pairs of hose to wear together to make one good pair.) LOL
