Nope, I never said anything about punishing. I said I was responding to the last part of your post where you questioned revenge.

Since you are pressing the issue of punishment with me, I would say there are consequences to our actions. If my child does something I said not to do, I would not use the word punish, but discipline. Discipline is supposed to train people, it has a purpose. I think of punishment as just making someone feel bad.

Gotta fix that last sentence... I think when people want to punish someone it is to make the person that did something to feel bad so that the person punishing can feel good. ;-)
