If God had to "adapt" to being human, then I don't think that man was 100% human as we proclaim Him to be. The man that was born in Bethlehem was born no differently than you or I, and I don't recall having to adapt to humanity.
I was
born human and learned how to exist as a human over time -- from teachings, instinct, learned behavior, etc. I don't place the Lord in any different category than that. If I do, then He wasn't as human as me. Yes, He was God incarnate and remained sinless His entire life, but He was born and raised much like we all are in the context of what we're discussing.
