See? Even you agree with all three of those decisions on the point I am making. A person can disassociate, but if they willingly associate, the church does have authority, so long as they do not violate civil or criminal law such as physically confiscating personal property without the owner's consent. You have yet to demonstrate that this pastor did that.
If you in this thread are the example of the type of professionals to whom it should be left, the case for tort reform has strengthened 1000 fold.
