Every couple of months or so I buy a bottle of sake - rice wine. I use it to make gluten-free teriyaki sauce. What's funny is, the clerk in the little corner liquor store is Muslim and he doesn't drink either. He is a family friend of the family that owns the place. Even though I go there so infrequently he knows me and knows exactly what I want. I guess we both sort of stand out from the rest of the crowd there.
