Never mind the fact that many still find salvation and live overcoming lives for His Names sake within the UP Churches huh?

We're only talking about the UPCI. The UPCI has many unbiblical positions that are mandated as commandments. This alone is a stench in God's nostrils. Not to mention the cultic behavior of it's leaders and the micromanaging of her churches.
Personally, I think the UPCI is a bonafide cult.

Really. If Aquila keeps up this critical attitude he'll soon be worshiping Dagon and wearing a red cardinal's robe while gesticulating rituals for the benefit of D'Inana.
Leave the UPC and the only road you'll find goes straight to Rome and the Whore of Babylon. Better to stay in the Mothership and reap the rewards of obedience than to try and think for yourself.
Or, is the whole matter a bit more complex than that?

Right. These enticing thread titles are created by those who... well, those who have their own motives (good or bad).
I would see the interview at most, as an acknowledgement that the AI "campaign" is not intended to be shoved onto the unsuspecting new converts, and that wisdom must be used to avoid unintended negative consequences.
